The Good Egg
The Good Egg is such a great book, for both kids AND adults. The main character is an egg, so it’s a perfect fit for Easter, but it’s not actually Easter-themed, so you can read this throughout the year…and that’s exactly what you’ll end up doing.
The book touches on so many great concepts – family, self-care, forgiveness and patience. It’s perfect for kids of all ages and definitely one that has themes even adults will be impressed by.
This is an award-winning book that you’ll be so grateful to have in your collection!
The Story of the Easter Bunny
The Story of the Easter Bunny is definitely one of the best Easter books for kids that doesn’t have a religious theme.
It tells the story of how the Easter bunny started leaving eggs for little kids and it’s really cute!
This is a great book to get into the season and makes a really fun Easter basket filler for younger kids.
I Love You, Funny Bunny
I Love You, Funny Bunny is another really adorable book that you will love having in your collection, regardless of the holiday.
Just like with the Good Egg, this book is a great Easter gift because the main character is a Bunny, but it’s not Easter-themed, so you’ll end up enjoying it throughout the year.
The storyline is simple, but perfect – it’s about a mom bunny loving her baby bunny!
This is perfect for young kids and makes a great Easter basket idea. It’s one of our favorites.
The Velveteen Rabbit
If ever there was a classic Easter book to hand down, it would be The Velveteen Rabbit.
You probably remember this story from your own youth…and if you don’t, get ready for a tear jerker!
This tale is all about the love that a child gives to his cherished stuffie…and what happens when that love disappears.
This is a really amazing story that will be even more special since you’ll likely have memories from your own youth.
How to Catch the Easter Bunny
How to Catch the Easter Bunny is a really fun and cute book that can set in motion a full-blown annual tradition of building traps to try and catch the Easter Bunny.
This book comes from the same author who wrote How to Catch a Leprechaun, which is another huge hit that you’ve likely come across at some point.
This is a lot of fun and definitely a book that will help you all get into the season.
The Easter Buggy
Cars lovers look no further! Lightning McQueen and Mater return in The Easter Buggy for a brand new adventure.
If your kids had fun with the Cars series, then there’s no question, this book is for them. And if they haven’t – this could be a great introduction to a Disney series that most kids fall in love with (especially boys!).
It’s Not Easy Being a Bunny
It’s Not Easy Being a Bunny is another really cute Easter book that isn’t 100% Easter-themed, so you’ll end up reading it throughout the year!
In fact, the story actually has a really important lesson that it teaches in a fun and silly way – Funny Bunny decides he wants to be someone else, so he tries to be just like other animals.
But in the end, he discovers that being himself is actually the best thing he can be!
This is a great book for young kids that you can read over and over.
Here Comes T. Rex Cottontail
Here Comes T. Rex Cottontail is the perfect Easter book for dinosaur lovers!
In this book, T. Rex needs to fill in for the Easter Bunny to deliver Easter eggs…all with the help of his friends.
This is a really cute book, especially for little boys who aren’t interested in things that aren’t vehicles, dinosaurs and monsters.
The Runaway Bunny
The Runaway Bunny is another adorable classic from our own youth (and possibly your parent’s youth!) that is absolutely worth handing down.
The story is about a little runaway bunny who keeps hiding from his mom…only for her to find him each and every time.
This is a great addition to your library that you will certainly read throughout the year.
The Berenstain Bears and the Easter Story
If you’re looking for a children’s book that will teach your children about the Christian story of Easter, then The Berenstain Bears and the Easter Story is a great pick!
This entire series resonates with kids, so they’re always great at teaching lessons, concepts and, in this case, a story.
This Easter story has been simplified really well for kids, which is great, but they do include references to the crucifixion, so if you feel like your kids aren’t ready for all the details, then you may want to wait…but otherwise, this could be a good way to help teach your kids the Christian meaning behind Easter.
I hope you get a chance to enjoy these Easter books for kids! Have a great holiday and enjoy the time with your family.
