Without a doubt, one of the best gifts for beer lovers is…beer! Why complicate things, right?
While there are a lot of fun accessories that can go with a good brew, the fact of the matter is that nothing beats a good beer…except maybe a NEW good beer.
So how do you do that? Especially if you, yourself, are not a beer drinker? Or maybe you don’t have access to a wide variety of beer options.
Not a problem.
You can still create an awesome beer gift for the beer lover in your life…one that they won’t forget and will easily top their list of favorite gifts!

The Best Beer Gift for Beer Lovers
Since good ole’ fashioned beer is always a win for a beer lover, then the challenge becomes – which beer? Where do you get it from? How do you ensure it will be great?
I, myself, am a major lover of beer, so I’ve received (and given) a lot of beer gifts. And I can tell you, without a shadow of a doubt, the all-time best beer gift is – this Rare Beer of the Month Club.
This monthly beer club is amazing!
Here’s the basic gyst: Every month, you get two 750 ml. bottles of beer (750 ml. is the size of a wine bottle). And, as you probably guessed, the bottles are rare beers chosen from different breweries all over the WORLD. Many of these beers are brewed in small batches just for this club, so some of them are beers you literally can’t get any other way.
I’ve been part of this beer club for years and it’s one of the few gifts I beg for each and every year…it’s my favorite shipment to get each month!
So, Why is the Rare Beer of the Month Club the Best Beer Gift Ever?
We’ve already covered that all beer makes a great gift, so what exactly makes this beer subscription club better?
Here’s what makes this beer gift stand out from the rest:
The Variety of Beers is Unmatched
The variety of this rare beer subscription club is unmatched. It’s literally what it’s meant to do – serve you unbelievable beers that you’ve never tasted before.
One fun thing about the variety is that they also try to stay pretty seasonal. So as you go through the year, the style of the beers change! Winter months are heavier, summer is lighter. The holidays often have festive touches that make the beer even more special.
These beers also come from all over the world, which adds even more variety! The US and Belgium may dominate, but every now and then you’ll find something from Japan, Brazil, or the Netherlands, which is a real treat.
Many of the Beers are Exclusive Brews
A lot of the beers you will get are only made for The Rare Beer Club. That’s unbelievable!
Not only does that mean you’ll be trying beers you can’t find anywhere else, but they also can experiment in ways that most breweries don’t.
You’ll be able to try different flavors and ingredients, like dandelions, cinnamon, mango, sunflower seeds, coffee, and chocolate.
Many of these beers also have a much higher ABV, which can be a really nice twist to your night.
Even The Bottle is Different
One thing that I love about this monthly beer club is that every month you get two beer bottles…that are the size of wine bottles.
This works well no matter what your situation is.
Either you have an awesome beer to start a date night (each bottle perfectly fills two beer glasses).
OR you have two big, strong glasses of beer for yourself…which is the perfect accompaniment to a night alone.
They Ship Directly to You
This detail cannot be overlooked – the beer shows up at your doorstep!
You don’t have to make a decision or shop. And often, if you’ve forgotten the shipment is scheduled to arrive, you get an awesome surprise!
Examples of Past Beers
While it may be unlikely that you’ll get any of these beers in the future (again, small batches mean a lot of these rare beers never appear again!), here are some examples of beers that have shown up in The Rare Beer of the Month Club in the past:
- Basin of Attraction from Schell’s Brewery – a dry-hopped Berliner weisse
- Black Metal from Jester King Brewery – a Texan farmhouse imperial stout
- Grande Cuvee Weizenbock from Les Trois Mousquetaires – a Canadian dark wheat ale
- MAAANGO! IPA from Zipline Brewing Company – an IPA brewed with mango
- The Regifted from Jolly Pumpkin Artisan Ales – a holiday ale inspired by rum-soaked fruit cake
- Still Here from Atom Brewing Company – a farmhouse ale brewed with sunflower seeds, aged in oak barrels
- Monteur de Houblon from Yazoo Brewing Company – a barrel-aged, dry-hopped saison
- A Creator’s Calling from The Lost Abbey – an exclusive blend of Wee Heavy beers
- Brasserie Fantome – Pissenlit – a strong Belgian saison made with dandelions
- Night Grazer from River Horse Brewing Company – a holiday imperial stout made with coffee beans, cinnamon, chocolate, vanilla and chile peppers
If you don’t get a chance to gift this awesome beer club to someone, then I hope you consider gifting it to YOURSELF. It is a great beer gift that keeps on giving and one that you will truly enjoy!
